The Terschelling Tourist Office Foundation takes care the promotion of tourism, recreation and leisure on the island of Terschelling. A core task and an important part of the operation is the reservation department that mediates between the guest and the accommodation provider, with approximately 8000 reservations per year.
"There was already a need for an automated system for over 800 objects and nearly 600 hotel/guest house rooms for which the Terschelling Tourist Board Foundation is mediating. Previously mainly booking notes and paper object calendars were used, and an Apple computer was used for the processing, with no suitable reservation software available. Stratech RCS offers us a flexible automated system in line with the new Windows computer system with a clear and comprehensive planning board and a reservation and guest file.
Stratech has made several custom modules for us, according to our wishes. The administrative employee also has access to the system and several tailored processing reports have been made, so this department can work more efficiently too. Stratech-RCS is also linked to our web site, allowing a customer to get very accurate information about the available space," says Sonja van der Laarse on behalf of the Terschelling VVV.
