Subsidy software Stratech-SBA officially live by Stadsgewest Haaglanden
Following in the footsteps of a large number of districts of the municipality Amsterdam, Stadsgewest Haaglanden has also chosen Stratech-SBA. After a thorough search, wherein many systems were compared, the subsidy software from Stratech was chosen. The implementation has been finished and the Stadsgewest Haaglanden is now officially live with Stratech-SBA.
The Stadsgewest Haaglanden is a collaboration of nine municipalities that work on good accessibility, offering affordable and good housing, healthy living climate, good work opportunities, strengthening of the greenery and an effective organized youth welfare work. In the nine municipalities, one million people live on a comparatively small area of 41,000 hectares. Many people who do not live there also commute daily to the region for work or other reasons. The scarce space must be used as well as possible. Therefore, regional attunement and working together is needed. The Stadsgewest Haaglanden has a balanced and connected software package of measures in the areas of public transportation, auto traffic, bicycle traffic, traffic safety and travel information in order to capture the traffic growth. The execution of this package on the measures in the area of traffic and transport is the core task of the Stadsgewest for the coming year. The Stadsgewest Haaglanden has chosen, for the financial execution of these measures, the subsidy software Stratech-SBA.
“Stratech-SBA is part of the application architecture that supports the financial process. This starts with the one-time setting of the data as close as possible to the source. This means that the financial data is registered in FINOFIX and that this is made available through Stratech-SBA. Besides this, only authorized and booked invoices are included through Stratech-SBA,” according to Richard Reitsma, Head of ICT & Automatization for Stadsgewest Haaglanden.
Earlier inside the Traffic and Transportation sector, a large part of the expenses and subsidy stream for the sector was captured in another system. Despite that this system functioned well with the basics, in practice however, it appeared instable, through which data occasionally disappeared. Besides, the possibilities for the reaching of the other goals of the Stadsgewest Haaglanden were too limited. In addition to this system, diverse Excel files and the financial system FINOFIX were also used by the managers of the subsidy streams. Stadsgewest Haaglanden decided therefore to search for one integrated system, wherein the work processes as well as the financial processing can be managed and work together with each other. “After a thorough search wherein many systems were compared, we got the best feeling with Stratech”, according to Ton Roovers, senior employee with the Stadsgewest Haaglanden. “The Workflow gives me a lot of peace of mind in my work. The Workflow is not only my agenda, it also generates letters, conclusions and decrees, and takes care of the driving of the information exchange with FINOFIX.”
According to Brigitte van Beers, head of the Financial, Planning and Control division, the Stadsgewest Haaglanden stands to be able to profit from the flexible use of data from the cash flow system and the year budgets in the Stratech-SBA software. Also, the making of selections as needed from among other things reports and the expanded controls can be adjusted in Stratech-SBA without custom work. “The greatest benefit is that here we do not have to make any concessions on our process and the intended work procedure,” according to Van Beers.
